The press clippings devoted to the first two Truc-Troc editions at Château Malou.

1975 - "A curious device... Truc... Troc... You pay in kind!"
In 1975, a press article (unreferenced newspaper) presented the Truc-Troc run for two and a half months by the Château Malou artwork lending gallery: an art "exchange" from which any financial transaction was excluded. "All you need is imagination... lots of imagination... and that should be enough to become the owner of these works." Each visitor proposed an exchange to the artist, who accepted or not.

1975 - "Two hundred young Belgian painters ready to barter their canvases"
In June 1975, an unreferenced newspaper announced the event in a large illustrated article: "From 14 June to 30 August, we shall return to the age of barter at Château Malou in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert: two hundred young Belgian painters will exchange their canvases for any object. From the old oil lamp to the superb villa."

In June 1975, an unreferenced newspaper devoted a small illustrated item to the nascent Truc-Troc: "If you give up... for lack of means, on acquiring a work of modern painting, try calling in at the Truc-Troc, which has just opened at Château Malou in Woluwe and will run for several weeks."

In June 1975, ahead of the exhibition's opening, the "Arts, Sciences et Lettres" section of an unreferenced newspaper announced the event: "Truc-Troc... what is it? It will be a vast gathering of the best young contemporary artists."

1975 - "Have fun at the Truc-Troc": an original work of art for your "junk"
A June 1975 clipping (unreferenced newspaper): "In these rotten times, who knows what to invent to keep business going. For several months now, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert has launched the good idea of renting out works of art." The article first recalls the lending gallery's principle: for a few hundred francs, anyone can hang an original print, a lithograph or even an oil painting at home, the rent being deducted from the price if the work is bought.

In September 1975, the letters pages of Spécial magazine published the reaction of Mrs N. Delépine, from Brussels, to the article "Japan for a nude": "I was very surprised, and pleasantly so, to discover that from time to time Belgium does have imagination. The Château Malou initiative - the Truc-Troc - is much more than original: it is intelligent."
