Kim De Rijck
Carl's sister · Architect & jewellery designer
Kim De Rijck describes herself as an "architect of jewellery". Trained in architecture at La Cambre, she ran an architecture practice for twenty years, then an urban planning consultancy for twelve years, before returning to a childhood passion: creating jewellery. The daughter of sculptor Mon De Rijck and painter Charline Mahy, "immersed in a world of artists, aboard a barge", she now creates bespoke jewellery and collections where 3D modelled design meets artisanal, local and eco-responsible craftsmanship. In 2024, she received the "certified artisan" recognition awarded by the FPS Economy, which guarantees the authenticity of her activity and the manual nature of her work.

From architecture to jewellery
"This buried desire to create jewellery goes back to my earliest childhood, when one day my father let us hide our bracelet creation inside the mould of a sculpture." Immersed in a world of artists, aboard a barge, Kim De Rijck developed a creativity strengthened by various studies in the arts: two years of training in lace and textile sculpture, four years in engraving, then architecture at La Cambre, Brussels.

The collections
Seven collections make up Kim De Rijck's universe: "le fil" (the thread), "Jeux chromatiques" (chromatic games), "la magie du carré" (the magic of the square), "territoires" (territories), "les quatre éléments" (the four elements), "duo" and "métamorphoses".

Bespoke creations
Kim De Rijck designs unique, bespoke pieces of jewellery. Each one is tailored precisely to the story of the person commissioning it, or to that of someone they wish to move. The process unfolds in three steps: the meeting (identifying preferences - shape, alloy, finish - and presenting stones: diamond, sapphire, ruby, emerald, tanzanite, topaz…), the sketch (a 3D-modelled drawing, reworked until satisfactory), then artisanal fabrication in the workshop: filing, polishing, hand setting.
