    1975 - "Pictorial Truc-Troc at Château Malou"

In June 1975, ahead of the exhibition's opening, the "Arts, Sciences et Lettres" section of an unreferenced newspaper announced the event: "Truc-Troc... what is it? It will be a vast gathering of the best young contemporary artists."

The article saw far: "These new princes of pictorial art, who often equal emotionally what is commonly called 'great painting', will number nearly 200, each presenting one of their works at Château Malou, in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, from 14 June to 30 August. It will no doubt be the largest event of its kind ever organised in Belgium."

"Between the sale and the lending of works of art, barter, which seemed a thing of the past, returns to the forefront of the news. For the artist will exchange his work for one or several objects that you offer him. It's up to you to haggle!"
