    Article text · translation

Dozens of rollerblading enthusiasts, or more classically cycling enthusiasts, gathered on Saturday evening on the Grand-Place of Mons for a ride of about twenty kilometers through the streets of the municipality. The first roller parade of the season did not achieve the hoped-for mass success, but fans can catch up. It will start from the Grand-Place every Saturday in July and August at 8 PM. This is an initiative of Carl de Moncharline, the originator of these events in Brussels, Namur, and Koksijde. Professionals, as well as Mons-Quévy police officers, also on rollerblades, supervise the event, followed by a Red Cross vehicle and a broom bus chartered by TEC. Saturday evening was a fiesta in Mons, with rollerblading or beach volleyball on the square, the virtuoso Yossif Ivanov at the neighboring Conservatory, and a Brazilian evening at the Festival au Carré...
