Roller parade: it's rolling strong! For the third consecutive year, the aldermanic college of Mons had invited Carl de Moncharline, initiator of the Roller Parade, to organize this sporting event, accessible to all, on Saturdays during the school holidays, namely from July 2 to August 27. This event, particularly popular with all enthusiasts of the genre, brought together eighty roller skaters and cyclists for this first edition on a route of about twenty kilometers. The Roller Parade, organized by roller skating professionals, was supervised by competent instructors, a total of about thirty people. The Mons-Quévy police had established two routes in the most favorable locations. In addition, a Red Cross team was on hand to deal with any minor injuries. The TEC had assigned a 'sweep' bus to pick up tired people at any time during the parade and bring them safely back. At 8 PM, the start was given in a particularly friendly atmosphere, and the return took place without incident around 11 PM.
