The Woluwe-Saint-Lambert lending gallery has renewed its stock of works

Press clipping, February 1976: "The Woluwe-Saint-Lambert lending gallery has renewed its stock of works". Newspaper title and byline do not appear on the clipping; the date is inferred from the exhibition dates quoted (opening on 26 February, exhibition from 27 February to 21 March 1976), identical to those in the "Three years, that's enough!" article.

Three years after its creation, the Woluwe-Saint-Lambert lending gallery has entirely renewed its works: eight hundred of them, shown to the public from 27 February to 21 March, daily from 2 to 7 pm, at château Malou, with an opening on 26 February at 7 pm and the total audiovisual show by Fernand Callebert, first prize at the Knokke Festival. The article also mentions the departure of "Operation 500-5,000" for Amsterdam and probably Paris, and names the organisers Pierre Levie and Mon De Rijck.

The Woluwe-Saint-Lambert lending gallery has renewed its stock of works As is known, for three years the Woluwe-Saint-Lambert Lending Gallery has pursued the democratisation of art through the rental of paintings and sculptures and through striking actions such as "Operation 500-5,000", which has just closed its doors to travel to Amsterdam and probably Paris. The organisers, Pierre Levie and Mon De Rijck, want more: to widen the public's choice and to stimulate artistic creation. All the works have been renewed. There are 800 of them. Before being made available for rental, they will be shown to the public from 27 February to 21 March, daily from 2 to 7 pm, at Château Malou, 45, chaussée de Stockel. An opening is planned for 26 February at 7 pm, with the presentation of the total audiovisual show by Fernand Callebert, first prize at the Knokke Festival. After this presentation, the Gallery will once again be accessible, as in the past, from 10 am to noon and 2 to 7 pm, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, for rentals.

    Context note

Context note - Clipping with no identified newspaper title or byline. The date (February 1976) is established by cross-reference: the announced exhibition and opening (800 works, château Malou, opening on 26 February at 7 pm, exhibition from 27 February to 21 March, Fernand Callebert's show) are exactly those the article "La galerie de prêt à neuf : trois ans, ça suffit !" dates to 1976. Kept with the Truc-Troc press as it documents the Château Malou lending gallery, the matrix of the Truc-troc and of the 500-5000 operation carried by Mon De Rijck and Charline Mahy.
