    Article text · translation

Le truc-troc A good title for a good idea. Two hundred artists bring their works of art and wait to see what you will offer them in exchange: tinned food, a second-hand car, a dress, potatoes, heaven knows what... Paying this way or another... It is in any case original and entertaining. It creates a whole movement around the artwork, which loses some of its inaccessibility but gains in contact and human warmth. Until 27 October, every day from 2 to 7 pm, at château Malou, in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. It is an organisation with no aim other than supporting the participating artists. But the cultural impact is considerable.

    Context note

Context note - The Château Malou truc-troc, conceived by Mon De Rijck and Charline Mahy, belongs to the same democratic patronage approach as the artwork lending gallery and the 500-5000 operation: making art accessible outside the market. No journalist byline appears on the clipping.
