Seventh edition of the Brussels Fashion Days from 12 to 14 October
The Brussels Fashion Days, now in its 7th edition, will be held on 12, 13 and 14 October at Tour et Taxis in Brussels, offering, over the course of a weekend, an overview of Belgian fashion.
Four shows with different atmospheres will be presented to the public. The opening show on Friday 12 October will present the Belgian designers shaping today's and tomorrow's fashion: 42|54, Catalina J, Maison Ullens, Zilton, Ireene, Maxime Edward, Valentina Tsitiridis, Wavelength, Emilie Thirion, Erratum Fashion, Eskimo, and others, will unveil their creations.
The following afternoon, children's fashion designers such as Bonjour Maurice, Maison Balena, Gymp, Inevitable, Papillon Blanc and Kioko Kids will be invited onto the catwalk for the first time.
And from 9:30pm, the podium will be taken over by winners of international competitions, young graduates of the leading European fashion schools and established European designers. Enthusiasts will thus be able to admire the work of Gustavo Lins (France), Ines Monjo (Spain), who received the award for best collection from Franca Sozzani, Sarah Bruylant (Belgium), winner of the audience award at the Hyères festival, Le Roni (England), Sara Valenci (Slovenia), Narbon (Austria), finalist at the Designblok Prague International Design Festival 2018, Sia (Denmark), and also Ferry Schifferlers (Netherlands), who won the Lichting 2018 award at Amsterdam Fashion Week.
On 14 October from 5pm, Belgian fashion schools will be in the spotlight: Haute École Francisco Ferrer, École Supérieure des Arts de Saint-Luc, Helmo Mode, Atelier Lannaux, Château Massart, EPS Saint-Luc de Bruxelles, SASK and students from the 2018 graduating class of La Cambre Mode.
A pop-up store bringing together the creations of 40 Belgian designers will be set up, and visitors will have the opportunity to stroll through the Schools' Street, which will showcase the work of the various Belgian fashion schools and academies.
