    Il CyberThéâtre, dieci anni in anticipo

    Nel 1995, centenario del cinema, Eric Vauthier ha creato il CyberThéâtre e si è addentrato nel cinema digitale quando quasi nessuno ci credeva. Jean-Pierre Mels vi ha ricoperto il ruolo di maestro di cerimonie: i due mentori di Carl De Moncharline si sono incrociati lì, attorno alla stessa intuizione.

    Già nel 2001, egli diceva a La Libre Belgique che il secondo secolo del cinema sarebbe stato digitale, che i film si sarebbero smaterializzati e che i creatori avrebbero dovuto pensare in modo diverso per lo schermo del computer. Una frase di quell'intervista riassume tutto ciò che ha fatto: “L'interattività deve servire il proposito.” Mai l'effetto per l'effetto. Sempre l'idea prima di tutto.

    In the Wednesday multimedia segment of “Midi Première” devoted to music on the Internet, Baptiste Cadieux, head of data transmission at the CyberThéâtre, explains that a simple modem and a multimedia computer are already enough to listen online to music of almost CD quality, through MP3 and RealAudio. The programme then hears from Fabienne Brison, head of commercial affairs at Sabam, and Marc Haymans, president of the IFPI, about copyright and nascent piracy.
