Gentlemen,
The City of Brussels and the Brussels Capital Ixelles Police have hosted and supervised the Roller Parades since the summer of 2002.
For this sporting, playful and free event, the Brussels police specially created a brigade of officers on skates who, since the event was born, have been responsible, together with other personnel, for supervising it.
The Roller Parade fits perfectly with the image Brussels wants to project: that of a dynamic, welcoming and civic-minded city.
The authorities of the City of Brussels can only welcome the organisation of the Roller Parades on their territory, including the special parades, such as the one held for the jubilee of His Majesty King Albert II in 2003.
Through this letter, the City of Brussels wishes to congratulate the organisers of the Roller Parades in Brussels and to encourage them to continue developing their initiative.
