Article text · translation
Roller skating every evening-awesome! No, on wheels, not on foot. Theoretically, this will be possible in the streets of our cities during the two summer months, provided you travel to a different location each day of the week. Roller parades are spreading fast. The Brussels Friday model (photo), where police officers on roller skates lead the way-itself inspired by other European capitals like Paris and Amsterdam-will be officially extended next July and August. Seven cities will take turns offering enthusiasts the chance to take over a section of urban tarmac every evening: Hasselt (Monday), Namur (Tuesday), Ghent (Wednesday), Liège (Thursday), Brussels (Friday), Mons (Saturday), and Koksijde (Sunday). Departure time: 9 p.m. Admission price: having nerve.
