First Brussels Fashion Days at The Egg The first edition of the Brussels Fashion Days starts on Friday and runs until Sunday. The event, held at The Egg, offers a panorama of Belgian fashion across more than 10,000 square metres. Professionals and the public can discover, for the very first time in Brussels, collections that were shown exclusively to the press a few weeks ago in Paris and Milan. Four major shows take place featuring the work of designers such as Jean-Paul Knott, Elvis Pompilio and Sandrina Fasoli. In a specially staged space, more than 50 established designers or young talents present their work, including Marc Philippe Coudeyre, Fabienne Delvigne, Mademoiselle Jean, Isabelle Lenfant, Niyona, OMSK and The Cookie Therapy. PHOTOS There is also an exhibition of fashion photographs, for instance by Luc Praet, Serge Leblon and Michel Gronemberger. Fashion schools and institutions are present too: La Cambre, Francisco Ferrer, Helmo Mode, MAD Brussels. The modelling, make-up and hairdressing sector is also represented, with an ongoing casting call and restyling sessions. Documentaries about fashion shows run continuously, and a bookshop is available for those wanting more information. On Friday evening 19 and Saturday evening 20 October there are late-night sessions, including a performance by the House of Drama collective.
