Thank you, Patrick

Patrick Chaboud passed on to Carl De Moncharline the desire for a living, popular performance close to its audience. Creation can leave the walls, laughter can inhabit a street or a square, and a young teenager watching a puppet can become the one who later imagines entire nights.

There are mentors you do not choose. They touch you before you know their name. Patrick was that springboard of imagination: Lollipop in the morning, the Fêtes Romanes in the streets of Woluwe, Malvira on television, then Gloubi-Boulga Land at Who's Who's Land, like an invisible thread linking childhood to the stage.

Not an academic mentor. The one who awakens. Patrick, I am deeply grateful.
