Record Sleeves
Aldo Gigli, nicknamed “Aldo Le Touchatou”, did not draw only for Brussels nightlife. His drawing table also produced record sleeves, an exercise in which everything plays out inside a thirty-centimetre square: a title, two faces, one colour.
In 1983 an unusual single appeared: “Thought I'd Ring You”, a duet by Alain Delon and Shirley Bassey, released by CAM under the reference CM 7452, produced in Italy and distributed by Panarecord. On the back of the record, the line “Cover design: Aldo GG”.
Printed credits: from an original idea by Eddy Luyckx, who also produced it; composition by P. Marchese and G. Deloo; lyrics by C. McLoughlin and P. Delanoë; arrangements by R. Loubet; photograph by Daniel De Dave; cover design by Aldo GG. Side A: “Thought I'd Ring You”, vocal version, 4'18. Side B: instrumental version, 3'40.
