Passing it on

"I owe them everything: my father passed on his creativity to me, my mother the taste for culture," Carl says. It was as a tribute to his artist parents that he chose his name: De Moncharline, a contraction of Mon De Rijck and Charline Mahy.

Charline Mahy continued to take part as an artist in the Truc-Troc editions relaunched by her son from 2004 at Bozar.
