    25,000 VISITORS FOR THE BALLOON’S DAY PARADE AND COMICS FESTIVAL IN BRUSSELS The Comics Festival and Balloon’s Day Parade in Brussels welcomed around 25,000 visitors yesterday and today. The Mont des Arts in Brussels was transformed into a comics park with numerous activities over the weekend. Brussels Minister-President Charles Picqué opened the “Une Génération Spontanée” comics exhibition at the Brussels Info Palace yesterday evening. The “Comics Show” took place on Place Royale yesterday evening, a sound-and-light show projecting giant images of comic-book characters onto the square’s façades. During the third Balloon’s Day Parade yesterday afternoon, giant balloons depicting Felix the Cat, Woody Woodpecker, Bob the Builder, Bollie and other comic-book and cartoon characters moved through the streets of Brussels. The parade of fifteen balloons was preceded by an equally large Manneken Pis. (belga/sam)
