In 1978, Mon De Rijck's barge was at once home, studio and exhibition space. This series of polaroids captures relaxed moments between family and friends: shared meals, children and babies, informal portraits amid the works.

The barge embodied a way of living art on a daily basis, far from conventional galleries. The photographs testify to this domestic, creative atmosphere where the boundary between private life and artistic creation remained blurred.
