On Tuesday evening, nearly 300 people gathered for the start of the first Belgium Rollers in Namur. "We were surprised by the number of children present at the start of the route," explained Carl de Moncharline, the event organizer. A route judged to be very beautiful, but also very demanding. "Skating along the Meuse, with the rocks in the setting sun, is magnificent! The route is also physically great, even though we had to shorten it a bit." Only three evacuations were reported over the roughly 25 km... A sad reminder that protective gear must be worn.
