During the months of July and August, the residents of Namur will be able to discover their city from a new perspective. Every Tuesday evening, a roller skating tour will be organized in the Walloon capital. Code name: Namur rollers. The first meeting is scheduled for July 8... weather permitting. Like several major Walloon cities, Namur was contacted by Belgium rollers, an association whose goal is to organize and promote roller skating as a leisure activity, sport, and alternative mode of transport, explains Mayor Bernard Anselme. How? By offering a twenty-kilometer route, open to everyone, where people wearing roller skates are king. In the long run, it is not impossible to imagine police officers patrolling the streets of Namur on roller skates daily.
