Since 2002, in the summer, the organizers of the "Belgium rollers summer tour" invite inline skating fans for evening strolls in the city. Tens of thousands of people participate and, this time, the season will be longer: four months instead of two.
• The first gathering is scheduled at Place Poelart in Brussels on June 4 at 7 p.m. The other Brussels strolls will always start from this location. They will take place every Friday until September 24. As in other cities, they will be canceled if the weather forecast predicts rain.
• Everyone can participate in these strolls for free, provided they know how to skate well, control their speed, and brake. For beginners, it is far too dangerous because it is crowded!
• The organizers require that children be equipped with all protections: wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, helmet, and reflective gear. Volunteer first-aiders accompany the ride, but it would be a shame to break an elbow during the holidays!
The meeting points: BRUSSELS, every Friday from June 4 to September 24. COXYDE, on Sundays August 1, 22 and 29. GHENT, every Wednesday from June 30 to August 25 (except July 21 and 28). HASSELT, every Monday from June 28 to August 30. HUY, on Saturdays June 19, August 7 and September 25. MONS, every Saturday from July 3 to August 28 (except August 7). NAMUR, every Thursday from July 1 to August 26. OSTEND, every Sunday from July 4 to 25. www.belgiumrollers.com or [coordonnées retirées].
