SALSA, MOJITO AND CAIPIRINHA JOIN THE PARTY The Fiesta Latina takes over the Châtelain this weekend. Rhythms, cocktails and exotic flavours on the programme IXELLES - You can already picture yourself, cocktail in hand, in the sun, shirt open, trying out a dance step to the wild rhythms of South American salsa. Que calor! Mexico, Haiti, Puerto Rico and Cuba are only a stone's throw away this weekend, ready to invade the Châtelain district in Ixelles as they should. This little stopover under the Latin sun, the fourth of its name, is organised this year by... Carl de Moncharline, clearly determined to bring Brussels back to life, whatever it takes. After the roller parade, the neighbours' day, the fête du progrès and various white nights, this year he is organising the Fiesta Latina on the place du Châtelain, the unmissable gathering for all lovers of South American scents, flavours and music. The Fiesta Latina means 24 hours of music, 2 days of celebration, 5 concerts, 60 stands of South American products, entertainment for children, salsa demonstrations followed by an international contest, a large brunch on Sunday and, of course, rum-based cocktails to enjoy from Saturday to Sunday. On 20 and 21 August, the Fiesta Latina will therefore have young and old dancing! Everyone head for the place du Châtelain and Bailli Village in Brussels! The full programme is available on www.fiestalatina.be. Ludivine Nolf
