    THIRD BALLOON’S DAY PARADE TAKES OVER THE CITY CENTRE On Saturday, the Balloon’s Day Parade will take place in central Brussels for the third time. A giant procession of enormous balloons will travel from Place des Palais to the Bourse. The parade will last around two and a half hours. The idea comes from New York, where a balloon parade has been held since 1924. The Balloon’s Day Parade is the highlight of the Comics Festival, which is also taking place in Brussels this weekend. The parade starts at 2 p.m. The Paris-Brussels cycling race also finishes on Saturday. The police will therefore close several roads towards Molenbeek, Koekelberg, Ganshoren and Jette.
