    Monsieur Randonnée、ラジオ、そしてテレビへ

As early as 1975 he was recounting his walks in the Pays des Collines and the Payottenland on "Point de mire", Gérard Valet's programme. Pierre De Greef turned this into a radio series following in Monsieur Randonnée's footsteps, whose success led to the idea of continuing on television.

From 9 October 1979, RTBF broadcast "Sous les pavés, la plage" every month. The hiking segment, directed by Guy Lejeune and orchestrated by Jacques Bredal, opened with the Payottenland. Routes were sketched on screen, and anyone could write to Monsieur Randonnée for the details. The mail poured in.

In July 1981 he presented "Les chemins racontent" with Jean-Pierre Delmarcelle, from the Ourthe to the Bernistap canal. The aim had not changed: to make people want to look again at the landscapes and monuments close to home, the ones we see without ever really looking.
