Los años de la barcaza - Las exposiciones

Father of nine children, Mon De Rijck would sometimes turn his barge - his home and studio sailing the canals of Belgium - into an exhibition gallery. His monumental white sculptures were presented in the fitted-out hold, alongside gouaches hung on the dark walls.

From the 1974 exhibition with artist Irène Sturbelle to the 1996 exhibition accompanied by Marc Grauwels on flute, the family archives hold further photographs of these floating exhibitions; they will join this album as they are digitised.
