On Saturday, 6 September 2014, during the sixth Balloon's Day Parade, an event initiated and organised by Carl De Moncharline as part of the Comic Strip Festival, a giant Tintin balloon flew over central Brussels. As part of the cultural festivities promoting Belgium's comic-strip heritage, the parade brought several iconic figures above the capital. This archive documents the animation of Brussels' public space and the celebration of popular-culture symbols.
