"Based in Brussels, Maud De Rijck is an architect and jewellery maker." Trained in architecture at La Cambre (1989-1994, "Criticism and theoretical research" option), she completed her studies with an International Seminar of Urban Architecture (ERASMUS summer programme, Brussels, 1989-1992), a European summer construction internship in the Netherlands (1990), an Erasmus at the Politecnico di Milano (1993-94) and a year as a free student at the E.T.S.A. in Seville (1994-95).
After an internship with Olivier Noterman (1995-1999), she practised as an independent architect from 1995 to 2017, solo and in partnerships - with Pierre Blondel, Jean-Pierre Blondel, Marie-Pierre Deltombe & Joumana Kanafer, Kim De Rijck, Guillaume Lecomte, Olivier Noterman, Nicolas Ballériaux & Raphaël Orts, Laurence Creyf & Nicolas Van den Eeckhoudt, and Jean-Marc Simon (MSA).
She then passed on her experience: teaching architectural design at I.E.S.A. Brussels (2004-2011), then at the La Cambre-Horta Faculty of Architecture of the ULB (2011-2023) - design studio, the Theory & Project Composition course co-taught with Eve Deprez and Sara Tassi, and the Forms and Materials Laboratory (since 2019).
From 2017 to 2023, she trained in jewellery at the RHoK Academie under Peter Vermandere (with Max Van Gielis and Karen Vanmol), Edelsmeedkunst section: four years, followed by two years of specialisation.
