Die Ateliers
Joan De Rijck runs drawing workshops for children, teenagers and adults: observation, technical drawing and fashion figures, using the various materials of the art of drawing.
Her sewing workshops guide everyone, from the youngest to adults, up to making their ideal outfit. She also offers sculpture, festive costume, games and stop-motion workshops for children.
Through her tango workshop, run with re-Source and the Chirec, she helps women recover "a femininity sometimes shaken by cancer treatment".
She also leads the sewing workshops at Wolubilis, the cultural centre of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert: a weekly workshop for adults around garment making, assembling and alterations, and workshops for children (aged 7-10) and teenagers (aged 11-15) where they learn to draw, sew by hand and use the sewing machine.
