The Roller Parade, 2nd edition, finally came to an end on August 22, even though the grand finale was supposed to take place on the 29th. Unfortunately, rain interfered, preventing Taïg Khris, one of the discipline's world champions, from demonstrating his talent on the cobblestones of Brussels. “No big deal,” reacted Carl de Moncharline, organizer of the summer's wheeled event. “The outcome of this 2003 edition is very great. We attracted as many people as last year.” This is enough to convince the tireless Carl to immediately repeat his Brussels roller rides next summer. The event, national for the first time, was also a huge hit in the other cities on the program, giving the prince of skates a desire for new horizons: “I want to export the concept beyond our borders, to the sun!”
