Roll on, youth!

Roller skating every evening—awesome! No, on wheels, not on foot. Theoretically, this will be possible in the streets of our cities during the two summer months, provided you travel to a different location each day of the week. Roller parades are spreading fast. The Brussels Friday model (photo), where police officers on roller skates lead the way—itself inspired by other European capitals like Paris and Amsterdam—will be officially extended next July and August. Seven cities will take turns offering enthusiasts the chance to take over a section of urban tarmac every evening: Hasselt (Monday), Namur (Tuesday), Ghent (Wednesday), Liège (Thursday), Brussels (Friday), Mons (Saturday), and Koksijde (Sunday). Departure time: 9 p.m. Admission price: having nerve.
