Grand popular festival in honor of the ten-year reign of King Albert II

From the Parc Royal to the Place du Jeu de Balle, all of Belgium will celebrate the ten-year reign of King Albert II on Sunday, July 20 and Monday, July 21. Two days of entirely free jubilation starting on July 21 at 11:00 am with an open-air concert and ending on July 21 at midnight with the traditional national holiday fireworks. The perimeter of the festivities will extend from the Federal Parliament to the Place du Jeu de Balle, passing through the Place Royale to the Place de la Chapelle. A route that will take you to lesser-known places such as the Prince Albert barracks, the courtyard of the Egmont Palace, the Place Brueghel... In addition to the traditional military parade and fireworks display, the city will also offer street entertainment, multiple activities, and numerous concerts. Here is a preview: Sunday, July 20: ● from 11 am to 2 pm: Classical aperitif concert at the Egmont Palace. Opening concert under the direction of Dirk Brossé, composer and conductor, best known for his film scores ("Daens", for example). He is also known for symphonic works, the most famous of which is undoubtedly "La Soledad de America Latina". ● at 11:30 am: Roller Parade, Motorbike Parade (from 12:00 pm), Bike Parade (at 12:30 pm) Brussels is full of unsuspected treasures. To discover them, leave your car in the garage... You can indeed take part in the Roller Parade, the Bike Parade, or the Motorbike Parade, during which certain main thoroughfares in Brussels will be closed to traffic. ● at 6:30 pm: Popular Ball The first day of festivities will end with a popular ball on the Place du Jeu de Balle, which will turn into a real dance floor for the occasion. Monday, July 21: ● from 3 pm to 6 pm: Circus and children's concert Children are expected at the Egmont Palace for a concert where they can applaud the clown duo OkidOK, singer and multi-instrumentalist Jan de Smet, and one-man band Christian Merveille. ● at 7:45 pm: Concert from A to Z On Monday evening, an exceptional concert bringing together renowned Belgian artists will take place at Place Poelaert. Annie Cordy, Luc de Vos, Ozark Henry, Pragha Kahn, Sandra Kim, Belle Perez, Will Tura with Zornic, and many others will take the stage in succession.
