The King and his family will be present in full force during the two-day festivities. Depending on the interests of each family member, we will see them appear in various places. Below is an overview of their appreciated presence. JULY 20 From 11:00 to 11:45, our Sovereigns will attend the opening concert of the King's festivities, with conductor Dirk Brossé and the Prima La Musica orchestra. This concert takes place in the courtyard of the Egmont Palace, where around 200 seats are provided. Dirk Brossé pays tribute to the King with a new composition "Sire". Who else than our Prince Laurent will encourage the skaters, we can likely expect him at the departure of the Roller Parade at 12:30 at Blijde Inkomstlaan, Schuman square side. Our Crown Prince wants to cycle along in the bicycle parade, he will do part of the ride that starts at Hertogstraat at 14:00. Exactly where he will join the cyclists remains a surprise. We expected nothing less: the King himself will witness the start of the motorcycle parade at 14:00 at Eeuwfeestlaan, near the Atomium. Since children are important in the whole event, Princess Astrid and her husband Prince Lorenz will also go out with their offspring to help animate the Cirque du Trottoir on Breugelplein, somewhere between 14:00 and 18:00. The entire Royal Family wishes to welcome a large number of Belgians from all walks of life during the garden party in Laeken from 16:00 to 18:30. Here too, Dirk Brossé will provide the musical background with the King's favorite music. In the evening as well, the Royal Family will be present in full at the Centre for Fine Arts for a classical concert. (These two activities are by invitation of the provincial governors only). Prince Laurent and Princess Claire still vividly remember the enthusiasm that their wedding brought about in the Marollen district. They will therefore not be missing from the Folk Ball on Vossenplein. They are expected there around 23:00. To wrap up, the entire family will attend the fireworks on Paleizenplein at 23:45.
