Article text · translation
How many were there for the start of this first Mons edition of the Belgium Roller Tour? Only a few dozen, but fully motivated to cover the twenty kilometers of the circuit through the villages of the Mons entity and along the very smooth boulevards. The road surface, which is not always ideal even for simple pedestrians, did not make things easy for beginners embarking on this kind of experience for the first time. The Mons police, and notably its famous "roller's cops", were part of the event as much for pleasure as for the safety of the participants.
