Here we go again! After a resounding success last summer, Namur will kick off the 2004 Rollers Parade on July 1st. Then, skaters will ride the cobblestones of the Walloon capital every Thursday in July and August. The gathering is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the City Hall (rue de Fer) and the start will be at 8 p.m. The ride, about twenty km long and supervised as last year by police officers on rollerblades, will wind through the streets of Namur and the Meuse valley, between Dave and the Grands Malades rocks. A small novelty, a training session will be organized from 6 p.m. for beginners. Let's remember that protective gear (helmet, knee pads) are strongly recommended to avoid big bumps and bruises.
