The Rollers Parade has been postponed The weather pushes the torchlight ride back to next Friday BRUSSELS — They had already polished the wheels of their skates and shined up helmet and kneepads. Alas, Belgium is not California, bad luck! Because of more than uncertain, indeed downright wet weather, the Halles du Cœur Rollers Parade is postponed by a week, to Friday 3 January, departure at 8 pm on place Poelaert. This ride, exceptionally in the form of a torchlight descent, is meant to launch the Halles du Cœur campaign. On 1 February, this association will pay tribute to the daily work of the Restos du Cœur volunteers who, on the initiative of the French comedian Coluche, help the most deprived. Besides various daytime activities, the evening of 1 February will feature a big concert in the style of the French Enfoirés, with guests Plastic Bertrand, Machiavel, Starflam, Marka, the jazzman David Linx, Airlock… Next Friday, the parade will again try to announce the event. However, if it rains again, it will be cancelled. The 1 February activities, on the other hand, are definitely maintained, rain or shine. Let it be known… P. D. V. Info: www.brusselsrollers.be
