Skating sports A world champion at the Rollerparade

The last Rollerparade of the summer, scheduled for this Friday, August 29 (note: if it rains, it will be canceled), will welcome a distinguished guest in the person of world roller skating champion Taïg Khris. At 27 years old, Taïg Khris has 103 competitions to his credit, 71 first-place finishes, and the title of inline skating world champion in 2001. A born teacher, he was chosen by Club Med to share his passion for roller skating around the world. On a practical note, on August 29, 2003, as on every Friday this summer, the skaters' meeting point is set at the Bois de la Cambre, Carrefour des Attelages. From 8 p.m., participants can watch a trick demonstration by Taïg Khris and a warm-up session led by sports advisors from Club Med Gym. At 9 p.m., the champion will give the start of the parade and lead participants along the inner ring road and city center boulevards to the Halles Saint-Géry. At the midpoint, skaters will be invited to Club Med Gym Toison d'Or, where a discovery day will be offered to them. As a reminder, the ride is about twenty kilometers long and is completed at an average speed of 15 km/h. It is reserved for experienced skaters who at least know how to brake.
