Newsagent treats neighborhood to a drink
TURNHOUT - The Turnhout newsagent Jo Colpaert hands a can of drink to a customer. In his newsstand on the Steenweg op Gierle, Colpaert took part in the national campaign 'Neighbours' Day'. The goal was to bring local residents closer together in an informal way. The newsagent distributed flyers for the campaign in the neighborhood. Anyone who brought one back filled in was offered a free drink. "The reaction was good, although the time to organize it was quite short," says the newspaper seller. Also in the Fazantenstraat in Lille, a lady invited her neighbors for a drink.
