The neighbours' day!
"Creating a joyful and convivial citizenship": such will be the watchword of the 2005 edition of the Immeubles en Fête operation. The principle? On 31 May, every resident can invite their neighbour for a drink or a bite to eat, so as to get to know each other a little better. In practice, you put up a poster for the "Immeubles en Fête" day in your entrance hall, writing your name and the time and place of the aperitif, and slip invitations into your neighbours' letterboxes or under their doormats! These posters are available free of charge at Brussels City Hall or via the operation's website: www.immeublesenfete.be. Don't hesitate to team up with other neighbours to organise the evening — it's easier, since everyone can bring something to drink or nibble.
